Application
- In The Mass
- Add where stock is vigorously agitated (pulper, beater or mixing chest). Prepare a highly dilute solution and add slowly to prevent mottling. Usually 0.1%–0.3% on weight of pulp for medium whiteness; up to 0.5% for very high whiteness.
- In The Paper Surface
- Excellent brightening in pigmented coating compounds based on casein with or without plastic dispersions. Best results when stirred into finished coating compound. Not suitable for pigmented coating compounds based on starch or for surface sizing in starch solution.
