APPLICATION
 

IN THE MASS
UMATON  BA  267%  should be added where the stock  is vigorously  agitated. In the pulper,
Beater or mixing chest, prior of UMATON BA 267% is necessary.  It is advisable to prepare
a highly dilute UMATON  BA 267% solution and to add it slowly to prevent  mottling Usually
0.1% to 0.3 % UMATON BA  267 % to the weight of pulp is sufficient for the medium degree of
whiteness . In  special cases  UMATON BA 267 % upto  0.5 % of the weight of pulp can be used to
get very high degree of whiteness . To obtain better whiteness with  UMATON BA  267 %  we
recommend that the addition should be made in the following order.

 

 IN THE PAPER SURFACE
UMATON BA 267 % gives excellent brightening effects in pigmented coating compounds base
On casein  with or plastic dispersions.
For the best results the product should be stirred into finished coating compound . UMATON BA
267%  is not suitable  for brightening pigmented coating compounds based on starch or for
Surface sizing starch solution
